Abstract

Resum: Lectura detallada del poemari de Marià Manent L’Ombra i altres poemes (1931) que el situa en el conjunt de la trajectòria de l’autor i en el context de la poesia europea dels anys vint i trenta. Exposa com construeix un procés de coneixement postsimbolista que té per objectiu mostrar una realitat unificada i harmònica a partir de la diversitat contradictòria de l’experiència humana del món. N’analitza els recursos formals que fan possible aquesta nova mirada a la realitat; els símbols que reprèn d’una tradició literària que ja els ha carregat de significacions; o la resposta que molts poemes donen a debats contemporanis, com la relació entre poesia culta i popular o el sentit de l’ús de la infantesa i del somni en la literatura del segle XX.

Abstract: In-depth reading of Marià Manent’s L’Ombra i altres poemes (1931) which places it in the author’s entire career and in the context of European poetry of the twenties and thirties. It explains how it builds a typically post-symbolist process of knowledge that aims to show a unified and harmonious vision of the diverse and contradictory human experience of the world. It analyzes the formal resorts that make possible this new image of the reality; the symbols it takes from the literary tradition, which offers them already loaded with profound meanings; or the response that many poems give to contemporary debates, such as the relationship between high and popular poetry or the use of childhood and sleep in 20th century literature.
